Online Scholarship Application

General Requirements for all Applicants

The Center for the Arts (CFA) scholarship program is funded by the generosity of our members and the community. It is given to student artists who are pursuing any form of the arts (literature, drama, dance, music, or the visual arts). Scholarships are offered to students grades 7-12 and those going to college. 

 

Student Applicants Must:

  • Reside in one of the 12 towns in the Lake Sunapee Region: Andover, Bradford, Danbury, Grantham, New London, Newbury, Newport, Springfield, Sunapee, Sutton, Warner, or Wilmot.

  • Be enrolled in public or private school, or homeschooled.

  • Submit a completed application for a scholarship which will help pay for arts-based classes or workshops or any other need related to their particular talent.

  • By submitting an application, the student agrees if awarded a CFA scholarship to share their talent/work at a CFA event with other scholarship winners later the same year.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Scholarship Application

Deadline is May 15th for all levels.

CFA offers two types of scholarships.

1

For students grades 7-11 interested in arts opportunities that enhance their skills such as art camp or art experiences.

Please fill out your application using the link below which includes the following information:

​

  1. Your name and email, current school, grade, name of program, location, and program cost.

  2. A one-page essay explaining your artistic talent, how you will use the scholarship, and how this experience will enhance your talent.

  3. A sample or evidence of your artistic talent. (Sample work/programs from recitals, plays, concerts, visual images, or photos of art, etc., up to 6 images).

  4. A letter of recommendation from a teacher of your talent.

Applications will not be accepted or considered unless ALL documents are attached or included.

For graduating high school seniors who are pursuing art related college, universities, or post-graduate arts opportunities.

Please fill out your application using the link below which includes the following information:

  1. Your name and email, current school, name of college and proof of admission.

  2. An essay (1-2 pages) explaining your artistic talent and why you selected this college/university/program. Describe your long-term goals as you pursue your education and develop your artistic talents.

  3. A sample or evidence of your artistic talent. (Sample of work/programs from recitals, plays concerts, visual images, or photos of art, etc., up to 6 images).

  4. Two letters of recommendation: one from an academic teacher and one from a teacher of your talents.
