See What’s Brewing with Glenn A. Knoblock and The Center for the Arts

Knoblock during CFA’s HuManities Mondays discussion as he delves into the evolution of New Hampshire’s beer and ale brewing industry. During this captivating talk, Knoblock will showcase rare photos, advertisements, and stories of the state's earliest and most influential brewers, as attendees uncover the history of the famed Frank Jones, lesser-known breweries, and even the only woman-owned brewery before the modern era.

Glenn A. Knoblock is the author of over twenty books. He’s contributed extensively to Harvard and Oxford University's African American National Biography and has written for the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. His work spans New Hampshire and New England history, covering topics such as African American history, historic cemeteries, covered bridges, and even the state's loon population.

Brewing in New Hampshire: An Informal History of Beer in the Granite State from Colonial Times to the Present will be held on March 17, 2025 at 428 Main Street, New London, NH 03257.
